Friction Disc Clutches That Rival Anyone In The Industry

Our friction disc clutches rival any blueprint in the industry. We have “toasted" our share of clutches to determining the best and most durable blueprint for each class. We use innovative tooling in making surfaces "straight" and pick the right parts in making the clutch the best you can get.

Look at what we do to the friction disc clutches:

1. Season the clutch and all components through a special process

2. True the floater discs on our Thompson automated surface grinder.

3. Than we leave a unique finish in order to have the best possible contact between the friction disc and the floater.

4. Precison grind all contact surfaces in the clutch with our precision Clausing grinder. No lathes or sand paper here! The result is a contact area that is perpendicular to the centerline of the clutch. This step is very critical in getting the clutch to perform.

5. Establish consistent spring tension on clutch springs to ensure consistent engagement. We use custom made springs with a real tight tolerance. Only the best spring will make the clutch consistent every time in engagement.

6. We use a new friction disc material that hs better performance and durability than any other friction disc we have tested.
